If you're seeking culture, Leeds is full of museums and ancient Abbey ruins, while Newcastle is the home to the Northeast's most famous sculpture, the Angel of the North.
The West Midlands is a popular destination in the UK with so many options of things to do during your stay, you will not be disappointed. We highly recommend hitting the streets of Birmingham if you’re looking to go shopping, especially at Christmas. From there Christmas market to a range of shopping centres. Including the Bullring shopping centre with over 200 stores.
Birmingham is also a great option because it is home to the National Sea Life Centre and Cadbury World, both of which are great options for a family day out. You won’t be short of things to do as a family in the West Midlands, but a favourite is seeing the Red Pandas at Dudley Zoo and Castle.
There are so many places to visit in Great Britain, but one of its best qualities is that you are never far from the sea. Whether it is driving from Dover down the South England Coast to Hastings through the historic town of Rye, a coastal town with historical significance, to going that little bit further along to Brighton, which is under a 2 hours’ drive from Dover, you can easily enjoy all the delights of the British seaside on your visit.
The dramatic coastline of Cornwall is renowned as the surfing capital of Great Britain and is chock-full of beach-side cafés and coastal paths. Or, head to the Jurassic Coast, stretching from Exmouth to East Devon – it is full of awe-inspiring views where the impressive Durdle Door is top of our list.
An often-forgotten place to visit in Great Britain is the East Anglian Coast, featuring traditional seaside towns such as Lowestoft in Suffolk which are great for a family day out, and Lowestoft – the most Easterly point in England. Or, head to Yarmouth for the day, a stone’s throw away from Lowestoft. The East Anglian coastline also includes other popular destinations like Southend, Clacton, and Southwold.
To the north of the country, seaside towns like Scarborough offer all the conveniences of a city-break and a great nightlife scene to boot.
